Development at bNear is progressing at breakneck speed. Here we keep you up to date on the newly released features.
Team Check-In Flow
Better display of attendance, availability and time off
Just like your real office, you can now actively enter - and leave - your virtual office. We call this Team Check-In. You start your working day in the lobby. As a nice colleague might do, bNear will also ask you how you feel when you start work - you already know the emoji feature. We've also added a new feature to fulfill your wish to be able to tell your colleagues where you're working from today. You can now use the elevator to get to your rooms and meet the others. When your working day is over, you can either leave your office via the exit button or via the elevator. This process is visible to your colleagues and marks the end of your working day, which you can enjoy undisturbed!
Your Work Location
Show where you're working from today in the team check-in
Let your colleagues know where you're working from today - in the 'real' office? From your home office? Offsite with a customer? From the Seychelles? You can enter any location in the free text field.
The Elevator
Here you can switch rooms and see who is working in which context
You can use the elevator to switch between your bNear rooms. If you have only 'inhabited' one team room so far, you will of course be beamed directly from the lobby to your room via the elevator without any detours.
I'm away then for now
Lunch break and your end of work
The MS Teams status leaves us in the dark as to whether colleagues are only briefly inactive or have finished work. Leave the virtual office using the button at the top right and show your colleagues that you are no longer directly available. Then no one will disturb you when you're enjoying your well-earned time off.
More Features and Updates in January 2023
- Significant increase in CPU/GPU performance
Some users have reported increased processor activity on their computers with bNear in the past. We have greatly optimized the user interface for performance. Now there should no longer be any limitations, as bNear only requires minimal processor resources. - Team logos on the wall
If a logo / image is set for the MS Teams team (the logo can be set in the MS Teams team settings), this is displayed on the wall in the virtual office instead of the company logo.
